with the Golden Chamber of Commerce “IT WORKS IF YOU LET IT WORK”The Golden Chamber of Commerce offers many opportunities throughout the year for members to promote their business and participate in community events. One such opportunity involves sponsoring an event. Sponsoring an event allows a member to not only benefit from outside advertising, but in many cases, event sponsors can increase their visibility by participating in the event. For more information and a comprehensive sponsorship packet outlining specific benefits and sponsorship levels, please contact the Golden Chamber at 303-279-3113 v ANNUAL MEETING The Golden Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Banquet , where the torch is passed from the Chairperson of the Board to the Chair Elect. Awards are presented to Business of the Year, Civic organization of the year and also the Charlie O’Brien award. v SOUTH GOLDEN ROAD “SCRAMBOWL” FOR LIGHTS Members of the Chamber, along with community citizens all come together for a great night of bowling, food, music, prizes and lots of fun! All to raise monies for the Holiday lights on South Golden Rd. v ANNUAL GOLDEN CHAMBER GOLF TOURNAMENT This tournament is one that is looked forward to year after year. Business people and community people come together for a great tournament filled with golf, food and lots of networking! v GOLDEN FARMERS MARKET This event is held from the first weekend in June to the first weekend in October. Lots of fresh produce, specialty foods, great food, specialty items, horse-drawn carriage rides, even entertainment. Draws thousands of people throughout the season. v GOLDEN’S FIRST FRIDAY Held most months during 2009! 5:00-8:00 pm in Historic Downtown Golden. Shops, stores, restaurants offering treats while you shop and enjoy! Free horse drawn carriage rides through the historic downtown area. v HISTORIC DOWNTOWN BLOCK PARTY First Friday in June! Entertainment, Art Walk, food, cultural exposure, horse-drawn carriage rides, shopping, special offers, much, much more…. v WILD WEST AUTO ROUNDUP Car enthusiasts from all over come to enjoy over 200 classic cars displayed in historic downtown Golden! Food, beer, entertainment and family fun! This event has become a “classic” and is looked forward to each summer by thousands! v GOLDEN FINE ARTS FESTIVAL More than 140 high quality artists in ceramics to sculpture & jewelry. Rated one of the best art festivals in the country! Food & musical entertainment, kids zone. Free admission. Held in August in historic downtown Golden, bringing thousands of people from all over to enjoy this wonderful event.
v ANNUAL CHILI COOKOFF - This is one of Golden’s newest events that is held under the Autumn skies in October. Location is Historic Downtown Golden where chili enthusiasts come from all over to cook and sample their original recipes for all to try!
v OLDE GOLDEN CHRISTMAS CANDLELIGHT WALK AND HOLIDAY PARADES – An “Olde Fashioned” Holiday celebration kicks off with the candlelight walk. Bringing thousands of people from everywhere to enjoy the festivities including caroling, roasting chestnuts, hot chocolate & cookies, live reindeer, Santa Claus and the lighting of all the gorgeous lights along Washington Ave. and Clear Creek! Followed by a fantastic parade each Saturday in historic downtown Golden! Truly a festive time for all! v BUSINESS AFTER HOURS “BAH” – Several times during the year, the Chamber invites fellow business Chamber members to host our business after hours. Members gather for a time of networking with opportunities for showcasing your business, while providing refreshments for Chamber guests. v BUSINESS BEFORE HOURS “GOOD MORNING GOLDEN” – A more intimate, structured networking Chamber function held in the early morning. Lots of time for networking, exchanging information. Also, listening to a great speaker! v MEMBERSHIP LUNCHEONS – Usually held monthly throughout the year. Chamber members gather for a time of networking and listening to an informative presentation. Opportunity to provide one on one contact with others, as well as exchanging materials. These are just some of the regular events that happen throughout the year. Remember, the Golden Chamber may have other events available for sponsorships.
